About us and National Preservation.com, Where did it all begin!

National Preservation was born 10th March 2005.
Our aim was to provide a meeting place for volunteers and staff at heritage railways.
We didn't expect what was to come next.
Within a year we had over 500 registered members
We expanded into four other forums a year after the first was created, then came the
f irst controversial hit, during the first part of our second year there was a mainline incident and
National preservation became the place to talk about it. with over 150,000 hits on one day alone
We became very widely known including a two page spread in a heritage mag. (Trial by Internet)!

We have moved a long way since that week. And with now over 2300 registered members the staffs have to be on the ball more.

We're 4 years old now. Only seems like yesterday when I started this up. Anyway enjoy the forum.
I wonder what tomorrow brings.
