    UP 844 has been out on a trip recently together with the lovely painted "Spirit of the Union Pacific"diesel locomotive. Several great shots can be found on youtube.

    If you look at the still photo from drone footage that was taken at the time of the incident (part way down the page) , you will see how the person managed to get hit...........
    Reminds me of the individual who nearly got "taken out" by a 170 at Thurston a few years back, but this one was was filming the approaching train rather than having their back to it.

    It is pretty horrible. Talking about the Thurston incident, it is more by luck than judgement that there has not been a nasty accident. Even today I saw a photo on flickr, taken down the ramp with their back to the oncoming train and comments about 'great shot'... (which it wasn't).
