The Scottish Model Engineering Trust (SMET) is delighted to announce the dates for its 2014 Open Days. The first open day is on Easter Sunday between 11:30 and 1600.

Located near Glenalmond, Perthshire, the railway has been extended to twice its running length for 7.25 gauge operation - now up to half a mile. Locos running on Sunday will include TR 0-4-2T "Tom Rolt", 0-4-0T "Auld Reekie", RR 0-6-0T "Mafeking", Wren 0-4-0T "Grace" as well as a Class 15, Class 20 and a Western Hydraulic. Other locos may also be running.

To get to the railway, visitors should turn onto College Road from the A85 opposite the Post Office in Methven. The railway is approximately 3 miles north on the right and sign posts showing the way are provided on the day.

The remaining public running days for 2014 are 8th June,3rd August and 7th September.
