There is something very wrong with that engine. Watch some YouTube of it from 10-15 years ago and listen to it. It’s way offbeat now and sounds nothing like a Bulleid should.

I don’t believe that the boiler is the weak point but I’m not convinced that the trust is being run for anything other than the interests of a couple of its senior people. Corners have clearly been cut and decisions made to rush the locomotive...

that may be the case but do they know what they are really letting themselves in for and when push comes to shove would they still stand in line , or would they really step forward I know its a negative voice but experience shows its the former...
