  1. Dan Hill liked acorb's post in the thread 6880 Betton Grange.

Had a very enjoyable day with round trips behind both the Grange and Saint. 6880 ran like a sewing machine with very little effort needed to shift a full 8 coach load. This is clearly a very powerful loco which will be popular and useful across...

You are missing the point. If the judgement by ORR was 'unsafe' then every train would be halted overnight. (A door blew out of a plane. The fleet was grounded, for example.) It's all about a risk assessment; that's why WCRC is challenging it....

The current situation is actually generous not ridiculous. The ORR gave a very early warning about what was required. Presumably this was to acknowledge the fact that what was being required was expensive and therefore the expectation was that...

Yes, but the majority of LSL customers are the well heeled wine and diners. I am afraid the true steam enthusiast is increasingly being left behind, mainly due to the eye watering prices being charged even for standard class. Bear in mind these...

How much reliance you can place on that comment really does depend on the accuracy of previous promises. I'm not being clever about that as clearly their track record is poor. It's all down to the accuracy of information given to them, what they...
