Some photos from the last two days of the gala. I did manage a ride on the night trains on Saturday/a bit of Sunday in between taking these and catching up on sleep in the tent! [img] [img] [img] [img] [img] [img] [img] [img] [img] [img]

Whoops! I was typing that on aforementioned brake van to be fair, only just got home having put all the toys back in the right place :) Thanks to all that came, we enjoyed it, we're glad you did too! It makes all the effort worthwhile, and I can...

Sorry to bang on about it but I think we have now seen enough examples of the power of a Bulleid and specifically what Tangmere used to be like.....also driven by the few West Coast people who really knew how to handle her. Imagine what, for...

The New Europe Railway Heritage Trust website has now had an update with greatly expanded content on some of the existing pages, and some new pages too. http://nerht.heritage-railways.com/ I'm told this is just an interim update, with more stuff...

Yes I hope this works for both groups as it is something that was at the back of my mind some time ago, maybe this is the way to go forward with a lot more inter action between the railway and the various other charitable and volunteer groups in...

Interesting to see that the group who bought Chelfham Mill have broken cover. One would hope that good relations can be made for the benefit of both parties. The intention is to create a 'Wellness Centre' with Inn and Bistro, which could bring...

Also depends on where the steam loco can be based. It is a pity that on the Riviera's the steam can't start/finish at Bristol as an original Torbay would, but they obviously have their reasons for staying at the WSR instead of St Philips Marsh....
