I have a newly restored and hydraulically tested, 4-4-0 2ft guage steam locomotive (Sinembe,a Bagnall with all relevant boiler certificates), approximate weight in working, order 19 tonnes. The engine is very similar to Charles Wytock on the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway and was repatriated to the UK from the Tongaat Sugar Railway in South Africa. The loco is professionally finished and available for inspection in Middlesbrough.

If any suitable, 2ft narrow guage railway is interested in providing a home for my engine, please contact me at r.binns@sky.com

Pictures of Sinembe at Cargo Fleet, Middlesbrough. A new home is needed due to the imminent arrival of our next resoration project, Andrew Barclay 0-6-0 No 8 of Waterside, Scotland fame.

A Boulle is in the background undergoing rubbing down in preparation for painting.

Looks like a mini-Manx Beyer Peacock in the rather bold red livery

Sinembe is offered on a negotiable short or long term loan. I am not looking to sell Sinembe after all the work we have put in over the last 15 years and wish to keep her in the family. However, any interested railway could be offered 1st refusal if circumstances changed, never say never !!!
