Just had an e-mail from SD to say this will now be hauled by 5029 Nunney Castle, not 60019 Bittern. Shame she's only joining the tour at Westbury.

I took a chance on this trip and it was well worth it. No diesel hung on the back, a not unreasonable load and a fairly conservative schedule made it well within 5029's capability. There was some sprightly running, particularly on the outward leg, some competent uphill slogging, and throughout the enjoyable racket made by a Castle in good form. I joined at Salisbury and missed out most of the tedious Cl47 hauled meander from and to Clapham.

My footage of the tour, seen at Sprey Point, Paignton, Newton Abbot and (only just!) Castle Cary.
