Yes I am an active volunteer
Just to add a few things that have come to light since adding this area for Thief Watch.

Railways and members of the public alike are mentioning that advertising the location of that what's been stolen might
encourage more thefts from that location.

    That's a fair comment.

My answer to this is as follows.

If you are worried about advertising a location where your stuff can be stolen easily. When items do get stolen, put up what's been stolen, when, a description of the item and the county, IE : Kent.

Also if you do not want to include a telephone number or email address please use thiefwatch@national-preservation.com
as your contact email address, therefore keeping the location quiet and advising other railways and the heritage community what has been stolen. This will help other railways prepare a surge in thefts in certain items.

You may also use this email address if you wish the staff to post up items stolen for you.

This will protect you from further thefts from advertising the fact that items have been stolen from a certain location.
And making other railway aware of what's going on.

If you have any concerns or questions please call 07816232172.
