Still several vehicles available, nothing has been scrapped. Send me a private message if you're interested in something.

That's a real shame if Swanage is looking to sell it's Ironclad. Ironclads haven't fared very well in preservation, and the one at Swanage seemed to be the only one with any prospect of ever getting restored.

I wonder if the Mid Hants would be interested as the next project for their carriage workshop? It would be a much more worthwhile and relevant project than those LBSCR 4 wheelers.

Is the LOWMAC actually a RECTANK?
I thought LOWMACS were 4 wheel with a low mid section not a bogie flat.

Yeh looks like a Rectank. A number of them were converted for carrying loco power units

Does anyone know whether all of the wagons in Friday's auction were secured for preservation, please? If any of them were purchased for scrap, does anyone know which, please?

There are a couple of Lowmacs' ? gradually disappearing into the undergrowth on the line out of Moor Street towards Small Heath. Not sure whether they are available, just seem left to rot.

The car carrier is a separate item. The lowmacs are further down the hard towards Birmingham

Yes, the catch is that you have to take it away yourself. They don't want it to stay on site.
