At some point last night we suffered a break in from what appears to be a determined gang who have broken through the wall of our locomotive shed and cleared out virtually our entire stock of tools. Although we are still in the process of cataloging the losses, they include power rail drills and track screw drivers, all our power tools, all our specialists locomotive tools including pressure test gear etc and (possibly the most painful) the bearings from the Barclay fireless locomotive which we have devoted many man hours restoring towards operating condition.

As you can imagine, this is a huge blow to what is a very small group and has resulted in an inability to continue all but the most basic of work in the short term.

I will post further details once I get more information myself but if anyone has any information, please let either myself or Ayr police station know.

    Regards

    Gareth
