GWR Collett open brake third 650. All the luggage racks now have their nets in place. The toilet flush cover has been completed and all plumbed in. Both corridor canvasses are now installed. The partition seat ends with the support handles installed. The Guards van is receiving base colour prior to graining. The door jams are now upholstered. The Association have some big costs over the next few months - lino, upholstery and finishing paint - so donations would be very welcome. More on the website, with pictures of the work. © GW(SVR) Association

GWR Compartment third 1146 At Bewdley work continues on stripping out toilet compartments and vestibule floors and assessment of the body condition of GWR 1146 (GM update).

LNER Buffet car 643 The paintshop have undertaken repairs to the doors, re-varnished the vehicle and reapplied over 1800 feet of lining (GM update).

Can anyone confirm from first hand observation / knowledge whether BR Mark 1 BSK 35467 http://www.cs.vintagecarriagestrust.org/se/CarriageInfo.asp?Ref=1921 is still at the Severn Valley Railway or not? A couple of years ago an unconfirmed report had it as moving to Crewe. It might have course gone to Crewe for attention and then returned.

I think you may be confusing it with 35462, which is still very much an SVR coach, I can't find any record of 35467 being an SVR coach ever.

The VCT site lists it arriving in 1989 as a support coach and that it now part of the BR Maroon set. I have vague recollections of it arriving not long before I left to work on BR in 1990.

I can remember it, was in Set M for ages although not sure what happened to it or it's whereabouts now though but it was certainly a Set M Regular in the 90s into the 00's

Photo here of it in service at the 2005 ASG - [IMG]

It doesn't look coupled to me but I'm only on my phone ATM so could be wrong but the gap between the gangways looks too much for them to be coupled.

It appears that by May 2014 35467 had reached Crewe but what happened to it since? I have had no sightings or reports in the last year. Is their a connection with Riviera Trains whom have SVR connections or possibly Jeremy Hosking perhaps.

I suspect the later, since his spokesman has stated that they have bought a number of coaches to form their own mainline set ( between 12 and 18 I think).
