In 1964 I received a copy of a book as a birthday present that changed the world of railway photography for me and a whole generation, Decline of Steam. It meant the more adventurous (or foolhardy) would brave wind, rain and cold to get images like this on Rannoch Moor in 2011. Happy Birthday to the author, Colin Gifford who is 90 today.
