    Evening All,

The Aldershot & District Bus Interest Group held a bus running day in Farnborough in September at which numerous preserved buses attended. These included a London Transport Routemaster and a Brighton & Hove Leyland PD2 amongst others. I have put my pictures from this event on Flickr and if anyone would like to have a look this is the link :

Hope that they are of interest.

Thank you for those, they stirred a few memory cells. I've done a mile or three in one of those Leopards, every summer Saturday for years, Halifax to Yarmouth and return (2 drivers, my brother and myself). The Dennis Lance is a rare thing, I've never seen one until your photo

Thanks for posting, certainly a few memories revived there. Aldershot and District always seemed to be something special when I was very young and living near Addlestone. ( Well anything was special after RF's, RT's & RLH's.)

It's a bit of a shock to the system to think Leyland Nationals are now counted as heritage vehicles!

    Cheers, Neil

,I must admit that if a Leyland National turned up at our local bus stop, I wouldn't think it was anything out of the ordinary!

the Alder Valley National with Kennetbus stickers brought back great memories. I remmeber the first one I saw, a Thames Valley-ordered Alder Valley specimen I saw in Church St Caversham in the dark and was so impressed I went home and told my Mum about it! Especially I remember the interior lights had a blue tinge to them. 1972 ish I should think
