    No afraid not. Always do the SVR gala as a sort of birthday thing then the following weekend at the Mid Norfolk (which is a tad closer to home) it's diesel gala which is always a decent bash so I'll be there. So many galas, so little time... (and cash!)

    Not bad but it wasnt that long ago it visited. Not complaining because its a cracking little engine and it looks absolutely at home with a couple from the LMS set.

    I hope theres not as much messing around with Local trains as there was at the Autumn gala, that can really bugger up the timetable.

    That wasn't helped by the mysterious lack of space in Hampton's siding. Generally the Spring is less inventive, which is not necessary a bad thing...

    True. Hopfully though 4270 wont be used on locals from HL to Bridgo!

    I sincerely doubt it would be allowed in the siding, thought it would be an interesting sight!

    Sunday was only affected if I remember correctly, and by moving the loco (4566 and later 43106) around the pointwork between trains it was hardly 'buggering up the timetable' just a little thought required when passing trains, that's all.

    I always thought these locals should run through to Highley though when they can, whether that be ECS or in service as I think I am right in saying in order to gain access to the siding the section has to be clear anyway.

    I seem to recall waiting an age at Highley on the saturday night and missing my connection at kiddy. Late Running was a problem unfortunatly.

    It affected all 3 days, I can assure you of that.
    That was done a few galas ago but it's someone else writting the timetable these days so hard to say if we will see it again. It certainly solves any space issue at Hampton, Arley has a bigger siding anyway.

    Now you're talking! It would nice to a 72er on the Valley at some point though I suspect not for a while yet.

    BH-HL shuttles on Fri & Sat were auto train so no issues getting that in the siding, may have been a few from Highley but I think Sunday was the day it came into use more.
