I've got a spare day for a heritage railway visit somewhere in England or Wales on Mon 16th March but nothing seems to be running. I've checked loads of timetables - but have I missed anything?
    Checked DVR/SDR/WSR/SVR/KWVR/MNR/NNR/GCR/EVR/Peak Rail/WHR/Ffestinog/MHR/NYMR/VoR

I know I haven't checked them all but from the sample above I'm guessing I'm out of luck...

Very unlikely to find anything running as its term time. Even lines like the Swanage which runs many days a year isn't operating.

Llangollen runs every day from Easter until October pretty much. But only weekends before. I doubt there is any railway that runs mid week out side of school holidays between October Half term and Easter.

That's pretty standard for those who do run daily - maybe a week before Easter depending on School Holidays and to get everyone used to running train again, but otherwise weekends only or engineers closures I am afraid.

It also seems that Mondays (along with Fridays) are favourite says to not run at lines which don't operate 7 days at any point during the generally "daily" season.

Think the only railway attractions you'll find open are the National Railway Museum, and the smaller outpost at Shildon.

Well spotted. Must be about the only one in the country running on this day.
I have travelled on "Ratty" before but it was a long time ago (30ish years) and I don't remember much about it. It would be a long day out (approx 5hrs each way on national rail) but I could make it (start 0700 back 2130 with a bit of time at Ravenglass).
I'll either do this or explore a new part of the national network. Got a couple of weeks to ponder.

    Thanks.
