Trying to fit both this trip and the NNR Gala into a day out in "sunny" East Anglia. Some swing bridges are awaiting the attention of my camera. :)

Is that included the kitchen car? If not 9 + POB. Hope it is able to go over the Hitchin flyover on Sunday.

I was having the same discussion earlier on that, letter does state kitchen car, just 3 premier, 2 1st class, three standard one of which is a buffet.

I was thinking whether one of the Pullmans has a sufficient kitchen size like vintage trains do with there Pullmans, to keep everyone fed and watered. I'm not sure on this.

Fingers crossed on Hitchin flyover though, bonus of two bits of untraveled track to tick off.

A kitchen car would make it load 10 in total but given the lack of Sapperton like climbs on the route, it should be within 61306's capacity.

RTC web site shows premier class so kitchen car will be there.

Ray Churchill said on Sunday that load 9 including POB was about correct load for Mayflower unassisted, any more then you'd possibly need assistance.

Seems unusual to have had exact times for arrivals and departures from six locations for some days, yet still no sign of anything from Realtime.

I even emailed RYTC asking for what time the charter goes through Hitchin on the down run and Ashwell on the Up, and emailed back saying they can't disclose times due to 'health risk'.... Eh? What now? :/

    A) Be patient for RTT or B) do what we did in the old days, go out early and wait.

Like Spamcan says, I'd go to Hitchin for when she's due to arrive in Stevenage, and on the return when she's due into Cambridge. If nothing appears on RTT which I doubt will happen, I am thinking on doing updates to the thread from the train in between window hanging.

Standard excuse for not co-operating with people these days; another one is 'insurance', which was the excuse given to me at a preserved railway for not issuing platform tickets when I had a carful of kids and we didn't have time for a ride.

But having said that, train operators don't have a duty to give out info to non-paying linesiders! I don't want to set off that old argument, though.

Not really, this happens quite often. Times are given to the tour promoter but then take a while to percolate through to RTT. They will be on there maybe later today or tomorrow. Just be patient!

Have just seen a copy of the STN. There's a box on the back I'm afraid. Let's hope it's only there for the ride apart from shunting moves.

Pardon my ignorance, but what's the STN?
