I was going to see Wadebridge on the RAT especially as my son was a passenger, with an early flight to the USA to catch on Sunday. But it rained hard and I had a stiky cold, so I didn't. I assume the RAT was top and tailed though. Wadebridge was in action on Sunday too and did seem in fine fettle

Nope they let Wadebridge out on the RAT alone, from all accounts she managed just fine:)

    MHR on TV:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b05n91p4

There's a segment on watercress, with some shots of Kate Humble on the footplate of a mogul while going up the line, and some shots of Lord Nelson.

(If you don't want to watch the whole thing, it must be about 40 minutes in).

Yeah, thought as much - I guess it was filmed fairly recently.

The MHR definitely does well in the food enthusiast / railway fan crossover market ... :)

Doesn't the Bluebell do well out of the horticulturalist / railway fan cross over market ;-)

The Queen Mary brake van in the latest Wagon Group report looks really good. Can't wait to see it on the line

Oooo someones been playing in photoshop, desaturating! Bored today were you?........

    You're naughty, but I like it! ;)

Getting back on thread, the recent repairs to Wadebridge have certainly improved her steaming capabilities - she now produces too much according to today's fireman!

Also, its nice to hear a syncopated beat now that her valve timings have been reset! :)

The more worrying thing it's not actually a bad idea. If you gave it lots of advertising it would prove popular Thomas the tank fans.

I nearly fell for that picture as in the latest issue of the MHN it reports that 4464 will be used for the blue engine events. I thought that perhaps JH had allowed a livery change. Bittern had been Grey before when she was pretending to be Silver Link.
Good to hear 34007 is on top form. Will have to try and get down for a run behind her soon.

Err, wait until later this coming week.......... o_O

As for young Timothy playing in photoshop and completely desaturating the colour on a wet and windy day, she was still a nice shade at 5am this morning! ;):)

By all accounts she will be.............. :(

As for 34007, she's now the engine she should be :) no more wheeze, clunk, wheeze - its a weird experience!

Brilliant to hear Wadebridge is back to form, lets hope she gives a good account of herself at the GWSR gala in a few weeks.

    Hello chaps,

I understand there was a photo charter early this morning with 34007 Wadebridge. Would it be possible for someone to post a few photos from today.

    Cheers

So maybe a day or two, given the weather was cr_p - & you spent silly time trying to keep the wet stuff of the lens!

Guilty as charged (well almost, it was colour matching rather than desaturation - if you look 2 pcitures back in my flickr stream, you'll see her in her full blue glory). Maybe I should send it into the PR people at the MHR for next week ;)
DD, how is the 'face' coming along I wonder?

We had Wadebridge on the RAT last night. I must say she sounded superb climbing the alps 6 up with 300 on board, and impecably behaved. Since the work over the winter she has been a completely different beast.
Any news on the repairs on 92212?
