There is a speed restriction over the viaduct, 30mph IIRC. I don't think she was doing too badly.

In another video that I watched she flew through armwaithe and through Penrith as well. Leander despite being black, she is a great loco and performance is what makes her shine. Hats off to Chris Beets and Carnforth.

We actually came down to 17 mph over Batty Moss and at Blea Moor

Dropped to 21.5 mph at Stainforth but then accelerated to 34.8 at Selside before easing for the Ribblehead slack

It probably wont ever be as 45690 is a 5XP, or class 6 whereas SG is class 7

The jubs may not have the power but I do get concerned when 46115 sets fires. I thought it was kind of a blessing in disguise last summer that the Scot was laid up in York preventing such occasions from occurring.

No sure that's the issue. Its the blast pipe and spark arrester which is the problem

A strong performer of a Jub such as Leander can at certain points probably give it a run for it's money!

That is certainly true. I haven't yet worked out the power figs for the climbs but I suspect they were quite up to SG standard. See the next issue of HR for full details of the running on Saturday

That's impressive for a Jub with 11. On wrong train again! Still it was our 'get one free' WCME. Look forward to the log in HR.
