Churnet Valley in 2015

Thanks Chris. Any idea of expected timescales? Also any idea what is planned for the June "Anything Goes" weekend?

2-train timetable along the CVR. TKh + 33102 in operation, and we're negotiating for something extra as well. Once I have a signed agreement we'll make things more public. Our Janus shunter "Roger" will also be doing Driver for a Fiver at Cheddleton if a driver can be sourced. Hopefully be able to make a bigger announcement come the end of the month

 

As mentioned in the General CVR Thread, the N7 is covering for a poorly 2944 tomorrow and is on stand-by for Wednesday.

N7 has a warming fire in ready to cover the TKH's trains, Wednesday 8th.

N7 warming fire is going in as I speak ahead of her final weekend.

Look forward to having some of you visit us for this. She will be performing 5x Return Trips along the CVR, first departure from Cheddleton at 10:32.

Had my first visit to the CVR yesterday, what a super little line! Great scenery (even in the pouring rain) and really friendly staff, I will definitely come back sometime.

Had to take the opportunity to see the N7 before it was too late. Having grown up down the road from Chappel it was a bit like seeing an old friend - though I think I must have been a young kid last time I saw it at the EARM.

 

Good spot for taking a picture that - not that the jungle has gone. Similar position to my video clip in post 591 in the Churnet Valley Railway thread

33102 'Sophie' will be operating this Saturdays (2nd May 2015) Cauldon Lowe Diesel Day. She will be operating 3 return trips up the hill starting with the 10am from Froghall.

Also, on the 3rd & 4th May 2015, 33102 'Sophie' will be on the Froghall end of the Steam Cauldon Lowe Days acting as Banker. TKH 2944 will be the steam loco upfront!

TKH solo to Ipstones

 

Dates for a couple of Community days added, no trains but all welcome to join on either June 6th or July 2nd.

 

I was going to ask when this year's Balsam bash is going to be - July 2nd. Looking forward to it as I can't stand the stuff.

 

Depending upon a few things falling into place, maybe able to offer a 33 & Brake Van to take people to site.

 

All Lunch Trains fully booked through to September.
Limited seating on Cream Teas remain.
Supper Trains still have a few table left too.

Churnet Valley are pleased to announce that Haydock Foundry "Bellerophon" is to visit during the Anything Goes event on the 27th & 28th June 2015, she will operate with the Knotty Coaches during the weekend. Thanks goes to VCT & Foxfield for allowing the visit. Belle is due to face south (Towards Froghall).
