Are you able to say which way round all engines will face at the start of each day? We will be there travelling and foting as usual.

70000 5Z70 reported passing Bridgwater 2 mins early at 10:32 en route from the WSR to Swanage. <BJ>

70000 Britannia entered the Swanage branch this evening at Worgret Junction 6 minutes early, and is currently working its way down to Swanage. In answer to a couple of questions, it is running as itself, rather than Morning Star, and will be facing Swanage.

 

I might be a bit thick, but the only timetable I can find on the SR website has no mention of 7000 on the loco allocations...I'm hoping to come down on Friday for a ride....but might do Sunday instead (I'm cooking on the Mid-Hants on Saturday 18th) but would like to check what's running when...

 

They do not appear to uploaded a revised timetable yet Steve. I am waiting for it as well. I will be going either Friday or Saturday.

Any chance of the revised timetable? The good news is that 70000 is now stranded on the railway due to the suspension of WCR, unless DBS move it which they could as its air braked

I have asked the question of those who know about websites, and hopefully it will appear shortly. I'll update when I find out more.

 

I understand the timetable with revised loco workings should be on the website now; I can't check to be certain though, as I'm out flag-waving at the moment.

 

No loco allocations at all on the timetable I've just looked at, although it is now in colour!

Should be arriving next Monday/Tuesday.

 

Terrific line up for the Gala, only gripe would be that on Friday there are four engines working during the day with the same consists throughout the day...yawn. Will either of the smaller engines be turned during the day?

 

Let's hope the lads at Ropley remember to take the face off first!
