The discussions between WCRC and other parties are indeed none of our business. The eventual outcome of those discussions is our business, for those of us who are potential customers, and very much so for those who already have trips booked.

Eh? My sentiments don't necessarily disagree with anything you say in this post... As this statement follows a quote from one of my posts and includes the word 'you' towards the end, I can only assume that I'm being referred to as one of the 'worst offenders'. That's fine; everyone is entitled to an opinon, but in my defence, I have tried not to apportion any blame upon any thing or any individual, but instead mull over the consequences of this serious affair.

Inevitably, being a human being, I will have have lapsed now and again with speculation, or as Jethro would put it, 'bullocks', so I sincerely apologise for wherever and whenever I have strayed into such murky territory. Like several other people on here, I have money tied up in this; its also completely unprecedented and new territory, hence the heady mixture of interest and concern for the future.

Looking at RalphWs post; he seems to be agreeing with you but extending the scope of your comment rather than criticising you, in my opinion.

RAIL magazine no. 772 published today. I got mine yesterday. Obviously considerable coverage of this story, and an impassioned comment piece by General Manager, Nigel Harris. I'll say no more than that. If anyone's interested, it's out there.

That's correct TSG, wording was perhaps not exactly what it should have been but yes I was in full agreement but extending the scope. Sorry for causing the misunderstanding

Ralph's post has been clarified. But for the record, and as TSD has stated, Ralph and I agree on the essential thrust of the issue.

I was told the police had raided their offices.
Also a lot of people don't know about the ban because at Narborough station last Saturday there was a whole crowd of people waiting for a railtour that was not going to come some people don't have internet access

Where did you hear that particular little gem? I would imagine that if it is not correct then WCRC could be quite upset about you saying it ...

One wonders how they found out about it in the first place.

Don't the magazines still publish a main line diary of sorts ? These would likely include the tour in their March issues before the suspension ?

I read that and thought, they really are out of touch. Narborough (Norfolk) and Pentney station closed in 1968

    A. Not helpful.
    B. Extremely unlikely. This sort of thing is not a police matter. It's as simple as that.

Just so. In the absence of real and verifiable information, there is no need in filling the vacuum with 'pub talk'. One imagines that everyone on here has a genuine interest in WCRC coming out of this in good (some might say, better) shape, and still prepared to talk to this Forum at pivotal moments, so why put that at risk with idle talk? (Personal view)
