Up to an hour delay it says. That will be a big annoyance to regular travellers on the line, many losing other connections they may have to get.
It is indeed a very ill fated trip!

Some years ago there was a tv programme called "Tales of the Unexpected". This would qualify I guess.

Here is a rather lively video from Grosmont. I hope they didn't cause an accident!

You never had to 'reboot' in the days of steam, unless it was a change of footwear.

Just passed the GB at Penrith - 66109 leading 67018. Train looks half empty. Obviously waiting for the backlog of trains to pass before proceeding.

Interesting scenario. Passengers on Virgin and FTP will be able to claim compensation from those companies for their delay. This will be charged to NR by Virgin and FTP. NR are able to recover that from the TOC who caused the problem. DBS were running on behalf of WCRC so will the buck stop with WCRC in the end?

Charter trains have a cap on delay penalties, don't they? So if the buck stops with WCRC it will probably be one of their more minor worries...

Maybe not then but you do now. I had to 'reboot' 76079 twice the other week! GSM-R problems.
