Hence why it has vanished off RTT after Farington Curve Jn

So it has finally become a virtual tour and will traverse the network south of Farington in 'cloak mode' as far as RTT is concerned. How exciting.

Umm, I have not accused you of speculation.

I have however sent you a friendly PM stating my position, the reasoning behind the comments I made, and why I don't think continuing this discussion in the public domain is helpful to anyone.

    All the best.

I think you mean Romulan, "The Romulans were the first known race to develop the cloaking device stealth technology, first observed on Romulan mines and the Romulan Bird-of-Prey in 2152."

This post (and a few others that have been moderated) illustrate the present day rules about how trains should be powered.

As I understand it, if a locomotive (diesel or steam) is there to provide the main source of power then it has to be on the front. (This explains the Plymouth to Exeter leg of GB VIII where obviously it was needed and explains the fact it was working throughout). Otherwise it may remain at the rear and can assist at critical moments. That was the case on the London to Exeter leg where I think reports suggest it was helping on Whiteball.

So two different scenarios and two different responses.
(A note for information but not debate, please, as we have moved on)

That might also explain the creased foreheads of the train stewards. Or maybe that's just stress and desperation.

Has the train re-emerged anywhere yet or is it still running in full on stealth mode?

You are right, but in my defence
Similar to the Romulan cloaking device, the Klingons received this technology from the Romulans circa 2268, when the two civilizations shared a political alliance. The Klingons outfitted many ships, particularly theirBird-of-Prey type vessels with the devices.

And those who are left on the tour, have certainly klung-on

Of course if the train is in 'cloak' mode it can easily slip through Kilsby rather than dragging around Northampton. Who would know?

Yes, and the association of this tour and the Klingers-on with "Weed-on" seems particularly appropriate (thats as in 69m 52c, of course!!)

Oh indeed. This is going to rumble on for months/years. The "story" has barely started. Time to invest in popcorn companies.

Yes it did, two minutes early at 15:50. The schedule does not appear in RTT for some reason (possibly because it was put in at the very last minute?) but, rather strangely, the schedule in RTT does not appear in the internal railway system

Anyway, the stock is now back at Wembley and presumably waiting for a trip back to Carnforth though there is no indication of when that might be at present.

The "Great Klingon" tour, when passengers clung-on to the hope that there might be some steam haulage, or even a train running on the original route. Hope RTC will produce some "Klingon Tour 2015 - it really got on my Wick" t-shirts.
