Really? If true, then it's nice to see that the quiet period allowed WCRC the time to ensure that all their fleet was in tip top condition.

Seems 37518 failed near Dumfries and had to be removed from the train.

ECS on Saturday went via the G&SW due to engineering work between Carstairs and Motherwell.

47245 (yes, I know it's a diesel) also in the "doghouse"; been left at Northampton off this working after suffering problems. 57315 / 6 and 47237 were the other locos on the consist.

37518 is also still at Dumfries according to TOPS; I'm sure that WCR have enough on their plates without collecting naughty locos from various locations :(

Four locos being returned to Carnforth, what remains at Southall?

    Diesel-wise:
    33025, 37706, 47746 and 57313

    Steam-wise:
    61306, 70013 and 98746 (34046?)

This is only what is shown on TOPS which might (or might not) be correct particularly in respect of the steamers; 73096 and 35005 are still showing at Southall and I am almost certain they are not

70013 and 34046 definitely aren't at Southall, unless the West Shed at Butterley and Crewe works have been renamed and relocated! :)

I believe 70013 broke down northbound on the M1 last week suggesting she has left Southall.

Did the standard 5 ever make the move to Carnforth?

That would figure, as moving something by road is the quickest way to get TOPS out of date!
I do seem to recollect that it was taken up there (by rail?) not so long ago but can't find any references to the move right now.

Sorry I mean Hadrian.... Just moved of the yard according to RTT.

And I wish someone would proof read the trip details, OK I realise that a late change to Galatea can cause a problem but,

"Our train leaves York at around 08:30 hauled by Pacific steam locomotive No. 46115 Scots Guardsman and heads north down the East Coast Main Line (ECML)."

Passed by yesterday and all I could see was the nose of 61306 poking out.

Maybe they hadn't finished the conversion work in time?
