Superalitive finish, however, I don't know if my eyes are deceiving me, but those tyres look a wee bit thinner these days........

    Cheers

    Cheers, Mate!

Perhaps my rather sarcastic remark had a grain of truth in it, judging by the finish!

Just attempting to be helpful, clearly fell on stony ground.

You were indeed very helpful and I genuinely appreciated the post but I hate Faceache (purely personal as many disagree) so I looked up an alternative via the A1 site.
Without your post I wouldn't have known how stunning it looked so well done!

Each to their own eh? I don't go near Tw*tter myself ;)

I do feel a lot of folk miss out on so much latest news from around the industry by not being on FB - it's so much more convenient than trawling around the many websites looking for news, and normally much more current too.

I begrudgingly look on Facebook sites for the reasons you've mentioned sheff, but I will not have an account, so happy with public pages, but private is just irritating.

No idea why you can't see the page, it's a public group and the pics are set to 'public' too.

I get the message "Must log in to continue" which I don't get with all Facebook pages.

Hope so. Got tickets and hotels booked for the Scotrail trains just to travel behind Tornado in Scotland. Times getting tight should there be any issues after such an extensive overhaul.

Someone posted some pictures of 60163 on Twitter which were retweeted by the Tornado account and it seems to have white lining around the numberplate. But some pictures today it looks like it carried both the white lined and traditional all black numberplates. Also it seems to be missing its plaques that commemorate its naming

Good to see her back in one piece though and looking forward to her return.

Do it properly and have somthing like the Stirling Single, Henry Oakley and perhaps a Deltic, HST and a 91 to show off as many ECML racehorses as possible.

Think its 2018 at the earliest - I recall this was the rough date given for the completion of 60532 in SR the other month.

:Sour:£400,000 for an overhaul on a locomotive that's only been in service 5 Years - doesn't sound right to me....

Considering that 60163 did very little last year that's nearly £ 100k / year for a design that was one of the most reliable and cheapest to run in maintenance cost/ mile under BR.
