Has anyone any clue as to what the loading might be on this?

Probably the same as the other recent Scotrail trips as the coaches are already at Mossend ready to be tripped down to Carlisle.

Let's see how NR manages this run today (especially with the ScotRail 'badge'). Tornado could run to Beattock summit with that load in 50 min as she's done it before in 55 min with 13 on rather than 8. That would put it far enough ahead of the Glasgow Pendo for the train to run on to Carstairs without being looped.

That would be interesting but we shall see.

Pendo passed - have been put out in front of the service we were meant to follow due to it's late running.

12 early and going for it!

Looks like about 57 minutes to Beattock Loop. Presumably the crew knew that this was where they were going to be put, come what may, so there would have been little point in pushing Tornado for nothing. On the run I am thinking of with her we went passed the summit in 56 minutes with 13 on. (Just a bit of context)

Took 56mins according to RTT, but that's to the stop in the loop.

Followed another train from Carlisle - possible Dalston-Grangemouth tanks? Hence the tardy (by Tornado standards!) running. We would've breezed it otherwise...

Yes. RTT suggests that you couldn't have been any quicker had you wanted to with the Dalston-Grangemouth tanks only a few minutes ahead of you at Lockerbie and Beattock.
