Whatever was posted to "other forum" is twaddle.
The set of coaches was inspected and thoroughly tested by DBS FTR examiners on return to Depot. No defects found.

Whilst I have no information about this particular incident, and no more knowledge of train braking systems than the next person on here, I would point out that faults do sometimes arise and then disappear again spontaneously, in engineering systems of various kinds. So the fact that a fault is reported, and then can't be found, is not unprecedented.

I do know about braking systems.
Yes, some faults are one-offs that never repeat, or even some that are intermittent.
But for a 10 or 11 coach train to have one-off or intermittent faults in all 10 or 11 coaches is extremely unlikely.

I'd have to agree with you especially given that DBS examined it afterwards. The train stopped earlier at Milton Keynes without incident and performed without any reported problems all day.

Sounds like it was a stirring exercise or an ill informed rumour being passed on.

    WCR bashing?

Where there is fault, fair enough to criticise, within boundaries of verifiable fact but not rumour.
