    Some serious omissions there; no Class 17s (for looks if not performance), Class 21 / 29 (for Scottish experiences); Class 22 (for Cornish adventures); no Metrovicks (too far out ?); subdivision required of the "small sulzers" (no way can Class 24 be compared to Class 33); Hymeks (no "best of" can exclude THE best machine ever); 73s (diesel operation means they must be included).

    I wonder if the OP was simply looking for controversy to "pick up" the classes he was either unsure of or too young to remember ?

    I did want to include various others but I did only have room for those I've named. I did mean to start this as 'favorite type 3 thread' but then thought it would be limited. I did want to include things like 68's because they do seem to be attracting a following. 47's ommision I will hold my hands up too, an oversight I will say. But despite them being a maid of all work for me they really dont do much. Haven't meant to offend or wind up anyone, I'd like to think enough people know me by now to know that isnt like me at all. Apologies if it seems the case.

    All I wanted to do was get away from Mr Dimmer and his photo's. As I've said I didnt mean to miss out Brush type 4's perhaps I should have done a small sulzers and big sulzers? Where would Falcon fit in though? :)
