If information provided elsewhere is correct, then 34067 might not be on the West Somerset Steam Express tomorrow which might leave this tour steamless.

My dad called RTC earlier and they confirmed it. Full refund issued, no questions ask. That's good of them.

The train departed from Bristol on time this morning with top 'n tail 57s. It appeared that most people decided to travel.
At least the train has been retimed so that the punters can enjoy 57 mins at Pembroke Dock. <BJ>

There's a couple of good pubs in the 'Dock (Flying Boat and Station Inn), but their combined capacity would struggle to accommodate a whole trainload of people, and 57 minutes is a little tight to head out to the former (shades of 45 minutes in Penzance a few years back). Not sure whether the Gun Tower museum is open on a Sunday, either, but that's the problem when line capacity favours a Sunday trip.

Yet another Sunday at Bristol Temple Meads where Railway Touring Co. passengers witness a steam train at the station and realise that they've pulled the short straw once again. You have to feel sorry for them. <BJ>
