NVR Weekend Tornado

Three day event on the Nene Valley Railway Saturday 29th August to the Bank Holiday Monday featuring 60163 Tornado and Gresley N2 1744, including double headed 60163 and 1744.

I like that timetable, the local stopping at Orton and waiting for Tornado coming in, opportunities to see both loco's passing in the loop, and the Yarwell section being used as well. Very good.

 

An N2 and an A1 double headed? Dear god no, thats like having red rum and muffin the mule pulling your stagecoach.

Luton Model Railway Club's Great Train Robbery Diorama will also be on display at Wansford, and at Ferry Meadows there will be pump trolley rides, inspection trolley rides, miniature railway rides and the TPO's open to the public.

And of course you can see works progressing on the new canopy for the station

 

And the chance to view progress on 34081 (other projects are available) during the shed tours. Our fund raising stall will be at Wansford so come and hello.

 

I've just returned from a great day spent at this event. Well done to everyone involved. you even brought out the Sun!

Yes, it was a tad moist on Monday. Doc Lacey's gazebo came in real handy where our fund raising stall was concerned.
