I'm glad someone else has said this. You say the least little thing that might sound like criticism and you get shot down and made to feel very small. Who do people think they are?

A 3 or 4 day members gala rover is in fact cheaper per day than members ticket on a normal day.
    £37 (£12.25 per day) or £47.50 (£11.88) versus £12.50.
Those are on the day fares as well. Pre-book fare are available.

Would of been slightly better if the main services crossed in Kidderminster platform instead of the loop, allowing punters to change trains. Clearly not happening reading through the times though. Rather disappointing from the "Premier" enthusiast event sadly. Agree with the comment re: 2008 gala, that and the 2010 events worked brilliantly. Why not just re-diagram one of those WTT instead of trying to re-invent the wheel? It's what the diesel guys pretty much do and very rarely do you hear complaints regarding the TT.

I've heard that something like that is likely to occur next year.
In fairness, connections of less than 5 mins at Kidderminster rarely work well and usually lead to lateness. Of course looking at how padded the timetable is, that should be too much of a problem...

For those wondering what's on the overnights, it looks like it'll be 7812 and 43106. There seems to be a lot of loco swapping at KR and BH on friday and sunday so the same locos don't stay with the same set. Less of this on Sunday and on thursday 46100 is with the LMS set.

I'm guessing SVR will turn 46100 before the gala since their website says she'll be facing Kidderminster and at the moment she's facing Bridgnorth?

Have to agree with previous posts of how disappointing this timetable is, the locals etc were one of the things that made this gala stand out from a lot of others, and you would've expected the railway to show off what they can do saying 'THIS is how you do a gala!' during a milestone anniversary year! I understand that they wanted to reign it in a bit, but not completely butcher it! I have visited from Friday night to Saturday evening the past few years, but since I decided not to this year, Saturday's timetable isn't exactly enticing! I will be attending on the Thursday, with the big names running and two round trips for the goods train, plus a slightly cheaper rover, it was the superior option as far as I was concerned! And having done a plan for both days, I even somehow manage to get MORE shots on the Thursday than the Saturday!

I've been pretty vocal in my criticism of last years timetable of trying to fit too much in. But even I'll say that this years dosnt look that exciting anyhow I'll still be there!

I am often critical of gala timetables but I am a little bemused by the criticism this one is receiving.
The abolition of most local services looks to have freed up a couple of full line diagrams which will be useful when it gets busy.
The overnight diagrams look a little more fluid with consistent dwell times at either end, and taking out the evening dining train has added another service train diagram as well.
I agree that getting rid of the local services results in less point to point and intermediate station attractions but the small formations made them a bit impractical anyway.
All swings and roundabouts I guess.

Would the moderator care to remove all information relating to the WTT. This information has been purchased at cost by many and shouldn't be made freely available.

Last year the locals were full to bursting, whilst shunting problems at Hampton Loade caused significant delays early on. I agree that timings could be a little tighter to prevent long waits but, given the engines that are running, it seems a fairly sensible timetable.

To be honest after I'd posted my previous comment about the TT I then did think that the motive power wasnt really appropriate for running locals this is a big engine event. And I've said locals not fitting in the siding at HL last year was the problem for so much late running.

The single odd thing about the timetable IMO is that there is a full line diagram which isn't being used. I fully understand the focus on full length trains due to the motive power present, but it seems odd that the full line services aren't then made as intensive as possible with a fifth set.

Sorry, but that's not a gala (timetable). That's some big namers running around a railway. There's a difference! Leave already booked, but there's plenty else in the world to do...
