I'd love to see it, a beautiful loco, and I think it would be fair to say it's probably one of the most popular visitors the Valley has ever seen.

Double header next year?! :p joking aside mate I think its because I havent had a Scot yet Im rather excited. Until 2008 both of them were rather elusive. But to see 46100 on the LMS set I dare say they'll be a few lumps in throats certainly I know how happy my Dad is. He has fond memories of seeing them on Aston. I'll have to listen to his 'Howard of Effingham story again though...

Right, somthing that sounds rather random I'm watching 'This is York' and as the Station Master walks over the footbridge there are enamel advert strips between the steps for the 'Yorkshire Insurance Company' I seem to recall that Bewdley station footbridge had the same sort of thing. I think it was for Park Royal Cigs? It's somthing I remember at the age of about 8/9 but by 12/13 'what happened to them?

Anyone around tomorrow, there's 7812 pulling an all GWR 8 coach set on a FE/charter as well as 43106, 4566 and 34053 out on the public services.

No Bulleid action over the bank holiday weekend, but 34027 is in use tuesday to friday on the Bridgnorth turn.

Not anymore, the only other two are about the steps being slippery when wet.

Is there any likelihood that the pair will also be out that Saturday (12th)?

Too far ahead unfortunately, the weekly roster is only decided thursday/friday beforehand. That said, there's a decent chance and I would expect at least one of them to be out 'n' about.

All change for the loco roster:
34027 is doing the north turn tomorrow, and then on sunday takes over from 7812 and works Monday to Friday on the AS1 turn. 34053 is doing Sunday to Wednesday on the north turn. So Sunday to Wednesday for double Bulleid action now not Thursday and Friday was before.
The SVR website is updated btw.

46100 is expected to arrive monday as checks and weighing will need to occur before use.

D1062 and 7812 did the first and second round trips of AN1 today respectively rather than 34053.
46100 appears to have got as far as Highley this morning but fell foul of 'mechanic issues' and was being shunted around Bridgnorth by the 08 at 2 pm ish.

Right, with the gala over there's been a lot of departures from the railway. Guest-wise 46521 and 70000 have left, while 43106 and 7812 are now elsewhere with 2857 due to go to the WSR for their ASG (1-4th October).

Meanwhile, EMF's fb page reports that the boiler for 7802 is now complete and awaits the hydraulic and steam tests.
And 813's boiler has gone back in its frames.

From the EMF's fb page yesterday
There appeared to be a warming fire in the boiler earlier today.
Also 43106 has returned from Barrow Hill while 2857 has now joined 7812 at the WSR.
