60163 has been turned, just seen a pic on fb of her waiting on the diner this evening. So the 46100 is facing south and 60163 now facing north.

Thanks for the info! Photographed both yesterday before going for a ride behind both of them in the afternoon.

Possibly (in my own opinion) 2 of the best looking loco's that have graced those little bits of steel 4ft 81/4 inches apart.

Right, 34027 has been announced as the other service loco this coming weekend. Thus:
    46100 is on BS1
    34027 is on BS2
    60163 is on BN1
So a big engine weekend then...

Though I guess 4566 or 1501 will also be out on the diner on Sunday.

The roster is now up and the IFE is 2857 while BS2 on sunday is now 2857 and the diner will be 34027! Plus the class 20 on the DFE.

It still had the brackets for the smokebox number plate when it went into the paintshop on Thursday.

    No chance whatever of that.

The owning group prefer BR post 1956 livery & for sound operational reasons want both 7802 & 7812 in the same livery to permit tender changes for maintenance reasons. Authentic GWR livery for Manors is rather drab unlined green (or black) with the "shirtbutton" or plain GWR on the tender all unlined. 7808 is currently in that livery though it does (like the other survivors) carry BR era modifications.

Nice to see such swift progress on 7802! Next year is going to be a bit of a bumper year for 'Manors' in general! Potential for 5 operating throughout the country?

6 in fact - 7802/12/20/22/27/28 ; two on the SVR & one each on LR, WSR, P&DR, G&WSR

That leaves 7808, 7819 & 7821 none of which look likely to work anytime soon (though funding & material is being accumulated for 7819 currently)

7819 looks likely to be the first of the 3 to return to steam - unless a very generous benefactor appears for either of the other two. 7819 appears to be the only one actively seeking funding for overhaul currently.

Given the current state of play at the WSRA, 7821 might be cold for a long time.

Disagree that GWR livery is 'drab' but otherwise understand the rationale.

Not to mention they were pretty mediocre pre the BR draughting mods, why recall an era where a loco wasn't well regarded ?.

2857 failed earlier today, 34027 taking over having finished its diner turn. Unfortunately all adding to the already late service.
