Imagine if that first LE working actually had coaching stock, the colours would be explosive! ;)

Good point. Due to start work at 7am. Wouldn't want to shock anyone too early! :)

It's a pity that the provisional split of loco's is 5 facing one way and only two the other, if I have read the timetable correctly.

    I like! :)

There is more than enough variety to keep things interesting.

Boy am I looking forward to a certain trip on Saturday - out of Alresford with 45379, and then out of Alton with 13065. :D

To early to say what's going to happen with the weather. By the time we get to Friday I'm sure the weather forecast will change again. Don't panic!

Perhaps one of the best MHR timetables to date?

Plenty of variety, my personal favourite workings will probably be 30120 on the vans, the Crab on the full freight and 4464 on the crane. 92212 being banked on the local by 46521 is... odd, but I suppose it might have been seen somewhere on the S&D?

I'm a tad disappointed that the T9 isn't on a main set over the weekend, but after it's problems with coal last year, I can't say I'm overly surprised.

To say I'm looking forward to this weekend is an understatement. Let's hope everything turns up, and that the Crab gets delivered facing Alton.....! :Stig:

So much variety this time. Really looking forward to the return of 30120. I just hope that there are no fights over the seats on the local.

So you're not bunking off elsewhere then?.........

Putting out a local to allow the Ivatt & T9 to fly solo is a very good move - I can see their trains being a tad full!

As for 4464 on the crane - why not?......... back in the day it would be whats nearest to haul it!

Can anyone tell me please what time the ticket office will open at Ropley each morning?

Will be down early Saturday morning - Crab and Bittern together on that LE move is, for me, too unusual to miss!

I did think about the last couple of days of the Jacobite, Dave, but the cost of getting up there, and the dire weather forecast put me off... never stopped me before, but I'm going to save the Jacobite for next year! I digress! 3:)

Not complaining about the A4 on the crane, that's one of the workings of the gala in my eyes!

Didn't think you would be James!

No guesses for what floats my boat - the Crab on the freight - and non prizes for guessing where I'm going to be, will knock the socks off a ride behind 4270! :) :) :)

Shame the QMB wont be out at this gala, but there's always next year. ;) what a ride that will be. :)

Saturday is looking to be one heck of a long day..........:Jawdrop:

The MHR have posted a photo of 46521 on their Facebook page. Looks to be taken in the cutting at Alresford with 46521 facing Alton.

Why not Bittern on the crane? It's not like the path behind has a rake of gleaming teaks being hauled by a grubby, clanking 4F or similar...

How does the Crab leave Alton on the freight at 13.17 if it doesn't arrive with the RAT until 13.21?

30120 and 13065 have both arrived. T9 facing Alton, 13065 facing Alresford.
