As a matter of interest yesterday I bought my ticket on the 1130 train on 9th January and noticed that very few seats remain unsold. Looks like being a popular few days: 9th, 10th, 16th and 17th January. After that Flying Scotsman is booked to work the RTC special to Carlisle on 23rd which I will also book on if its certain it will work the train as RTC are hedging their bets by saying the back up will be 2 x 5s. Presumably 103 will be OK provided it completes the ELR days without problems.

I immediately thought it was going to be the 'Jones Goods' when I saw that number :D

Wishful thinking. That is the number it will be running under until the end of January

Has it been confirmed that it will keep the numbers and tender lettering currently worn? The only statement seemed to be equivocal, referring only to black undercoat.
