I asked RTC whether there will be a diesel attached and they said 'the final timings do not show a diesel being attached on either the outward or return journey'.

Can anyone from West Coast confirm this?

If definitely no diesel I'll book. If there is, I won't bother. If I'm not sure I'll take my chances with pay on the day!

It's not looking to good at the moment, as there's no LE paths showing up yet, for a diesel coming in & out, but that could change late on.

I could be wrong, but seem to recall on past trips the diesel has stabled in a bay platform in Kings Cross and the moves to and from the bay have not shown up on RTT?

Two out of three forecasts I viewed said today would be sunny, pity they were wrong. In typical GN steam trip weather 46233 toys with the schedule as she powers through Arlesey.

Did a short hop from Kings Cross to Stevenage this morning as I was busy during the day.

The Duchess made it look very easy.

Good to see the support coach getting into the spirit of it!

Rather pedestrian compared to my 90+ runs behind 4464 and 60009. :p

The LNER crews could afford glasses, didn't need extra large print headboards.

Duchess = power. A4 = speed. Both are quite useful in a pacific. :)
