Celebrating 50 Years of Hillingdon.

On Saturday night, my local council laid on a firework display as the finale of celebrating 50 years since the London Borough of Hillingdon was formed.

As the chosen location, Ruislip Lido, was down the road from me, it would have been rude not to attend!

Though choosing a nature reserve watch X £1000's of gunpowder go bang, does seem an odd choice (though they've done it there before) as even after letting off a few warning bangs, there were a couple of birds that must have been stone deaf, as they were 'trapped'.......................

So in a change from the usual 'fireworks' we get on here.............. .................... here's a small gallery of real ones!
