And somebody pointed out on The Works forum that it's 10 years to the day since her last fire was dropped.

 

I 100% garentee Ian Riley planned it around that...

 

Wasn't the boiler steam tested three years or so ago?

So is she actually presently carrying three different numbers?

 

Thats not a box - its a Gronk - if you have ever helped maintain one you would understand the difference. e.g. hand pump the oil pressure before starting and fill the day tank from the side tanks with a hand pump more reminicent of a garden centre.

 

When is her first Public Run?

 

Is there any further news about how the steam tests are going?

So its now all eyes on RTT trains for traffic at Castleton Hopwood Gf?

 

The small matter of hauling public trains on ELR first, hopefully.

 

Does anyone know the proposed timetable for Flying Scotsman at ELR in a few weeks time?

Read elsewhere it will be in steam from Tuesday, but if it will be out running I know not.

 

I think the weather and the collapse of buildings at Summerseat may affect the proposed timetable of events; I sincerely hope not but Ian Riley will do what's best for the loco - even if that affects the schedule for public runs.
