I came across this folder, various of my kids posing,and thought it may make a good thread. If you like, add your kids with trains.

One to give the H&S kittens. 18 month old Abi - wandering down the 3 foot last month at the CF du Haut Velay, France, oblivious to a 1906 Mallet in steam behind.

 

And Abi is saying "stuff the trains, I'm going for a stroll down here"

That's a fabulous pic HU.... speaks volumes.

 

First born appears in the Tallylyn Christmas leaflet. He's the boy in the blue T shirt (The photo was taken in June) Sadly I didn't think to get his fleece out of my bag.

10 years on he's now quite a competent train driver when allowed

 

Several from our 'local' - Audley End Miniature Railway - Josh likes to help out

 

And some from further afield (Mainline, Tyseley, Bressingham, NRM, Steam, EOR, Bluebell)

 

This was our son at the Gartell Railway, aged about 18 months but evidently captivated by the train. He's graduated onto buses a bit, but we hope to cure him ...



On his first visit to London - got bored seeing the dinosaurs, so we took him for a ride round the underground while his sister went round the Natural History Museum with her cousins. We had a photo like this at every change on a big circular tour from South Ken to South Ken:
