RTT has not updated any times as yet. Is it cancelled or an issue with RTT

Iknow they build slack into these timetables but 72 late to 7 early due to recovery time does look odd

It's just the shunting time, and the same allowances are in the system if it's just loco and support coach, or complete train which, as the head shunt is not long enough, requires several moves to assemble the stock in the U&DGL.

Just read on T'Works site, an update from IR - "Full Engineering Acceptance 'To Test' has been issued to Network Rail today by the VAB...another milestone achieved."
Milestone indeed Mr. Riley, congratulations and big likes for that.

    Cheers.

Good news indeed, so how soon can the test runs be scheduled for is there still enough time to do both test runs before the next CME ?

The path is there each weekday and seems to require little notification for activation.

We must hope that the NRM or Riley's announce when this is to happen. Or do we await the dark or white smoke over Carnforth? (Only commented to get post No. 4472)

Probably nothing to do with Riley or The NRM, as a TOC West Coast can use any of the allotted paths they are given and in the past Smithy has played silly games with the photographers over this. The first test run for 46115 was to be the 10.18 slot but ended up with us waiting hours for it to appear as they decided at the last minute to use an alternative path.

Surely it's everything to do with NRM and Ian Riley, as owners and custodian I would be surprised if there wasn't an NRM rep on board and Ian Riley as well.
As for Mr Smith playing games with the photographers, ever thought that the delay might just have been for reasons like a minor adjustment needed at the last minute....

I meant the timing of the actual run is down to West Coast and there are other examples of Mr Smith playing silly games, I think he did it with Galatea although if what I have heard is true he is not now making the decisions at WCRC.

It may not be true but I heard from a contact in Network Rail HO that the new safety manager is now running the show regarding all operating matters. I think he needs to be if they have any hope of retaining their license

Will have to wait and see regarding WCRC, but if true, it was probably the only realistic way forward. Back to 60103...
