I'm rather keen on catching up with Taw Valley and wondering whether the loco is undergoing maintenance or is a contender to be out and about any time soon? I pass close enough to the SVR a few times in coming weeks (to be honest I'm on the M6 but a Bulleid justifies a detour!). Thanks

SKP isnt having repairs as far as I know. As of today she is back together and having a steam test in the coming days. The wooden cab windows are the only thing to be repaired by yours truly this afternoon.

North Norfolk Railway have announced another visitor for the March Steam Gala, 4566 2-6-2 Ex-Great Western Railway Locomotive. The loco is courtesy of 4566 Fund Group & Severn Valley Railway. It will arrive the week before the Gala and return straight after the event.

Strange to see what looked like 43106 on Murdoch Mysteries this week, which is an Alibi TV channel show made in Canada.

Hope its owners got a royalty even though it was for a few seconds. Presumably it was supposed to look like a steam loco from 1905 Canada.

Maybe this is a good idea to announce further in advance what is running giving people time to make plans. I thin long term visitors are a good idea as well offering variety and helping increase return visits from local people.
