Went at lunchtime after seeing Tornado on the Pullmans, I got lucky as platform 2 was left empty for just over half an hour. Anyway, a few of my photos of the C class and coaches

I have heard that the filming job at Kings Cross is either for the new Wonder Woman Film or the Harry Potter Spin off film.
Pictures posted on twitter today show a lot of extras in First World War Soldier uniforms walking past the train.

Sounds like it could be for the Wonder Woman Film as Chris Pine was there apparently (and he is part of the Wonder Woman cast) but some on Twitter think the Soldiers are from WWII (although the loco and stock being used doesn't fit that).

Also I noticed earlier that a few people shared their pictures of 592 yesterday on the Bluebell Facebook but these have now been removed.

I would have been more interested if Wonder Woman had been there rather than Captain Kirk.
It looks like they have been filming the Wonder Woman film local to me as well. The clips I have seen so far look like they have been filmed in Bourne Woods in Farnham which was also used in Gladiator and Robin Hood.

Having googled who Chris Pine is and the comic book history of the character he is playing, Steve Trevor (an intelligence officer in the USAAC during WWII), the Wonder Woman film being set in WWII would fit.

Surely they wouldn't go the the trouble of hiring a load of SECR coaches and a loco (along with the later Maunsell rake), transport it all to Kings Cross, to then film something that a later Southern loco would fit the bill for? Looks like WW1 soldiers to me: https://twitter.com/DCBMEP/status/696378194526658562 . I think all filming for the Harry Potter spin off bit is done now, so doubt it is that either.

EDIT: Pine interview confirms a WW1 setting so looks certain to be Wonder Woman. http://screenrant.com/wonder-woman-chris-pine-steve-trevor-ww1/
Impressive attention to detail by Warner Brothers, to use such vintage stock and understandably using King's Cross as a backdrop instead of the modernised but prototypical correct other London termini.

The railway can't be seen to be acknowledging it as part of the contract, by all accounts. So they'll be saying nothing until the film (whichever it is) comes out I would wager.

Sounds right. Given they signed that Non Disclosure I assumed they asked those who shared the pictures to remove them.

From comments elsewhere the film may be the Harry Potter Prequel.

As a matter of interest, why was the Standard 5 dragging the empty Wealden Rambler stock around with the Pullman set today?

You sure it was empty? Pretty sure there were people sitting in the WR carriages waving at me, my nieces and nephews about an hour ago! ;-)

Must have been for a later service then. The Mk.1s were certainly empty (unlike the Pullmans) when the train passed me at HK around half past two.

Previously, the Saturday evening Golden Arrow ran two full line trips to East Grinstead whilst Sunday afternoon was one full line trip and a short half trip to Horsted Keynes.
The Wealden Rambler ran just one return trip to East Grinstead.

This season the decision has been made on Sunday's for the two trains to be combined on selected dates. The Golden Arrow departs at 12:55 and runs with the empty Wealden stock for the first round trip. On arrival at Sheffield Park the afternoon Tea customers board the Wealden Rambler set and the whole formation are then taken to East Grinstead again. Hence why some of you saw it empty and others saw it occupied!!

Just catching up after a weekend away. With the Q and C away, and the H and S15 awaiting their annual boiler exams, the trains saw a rare outing for 323 on the regular service trains, along with B473 and as noted above, 73082 on the combined WR/GA service. There aren't many better days on the Bluebell than firing 323 all day :)

To go with @David R's photo above, this update on the restoration of the Elephant van was in the e-Newsletter: http://files.ctctcdn.com/e0ef1eef101/0f3f9ae6-8c68-46f5-9e25-0498bfd28eb8.pdf
