The coal looks exactly like the plastic moulding on most of my old Tri-Ang models.

Who is going to tell the NRM we have to cut the Flying bit off the Nameplates? Surely we can just run her as Scotsman? Guys?!..........Hello..........Anyone still there?!"

    Looks amazing.

Is there a photographic greatest hits from the last 700+ posts to save me from going through all of them?

From Riley & sons facebook page -
Following attention to one of the wheelsets and the replacement of a broken spring, "Flying Scotsman" now has a warming fire lit at the National Railway Museum in York.

As the plan currently stands she will undertake a test run between York and Scarborough tomorrow and following successful tests she will move on to London on Wednesday in preparation for the inaugural run on Thursday.

At the moment we have no official timings for the movements, but if we get them we will post them here.

I'm not sure if I should be insulted or somewhat relieved that at the very least I am consistent in my view and how I give it out...

One of the perks of my job is flexible working hours, and of course smart phones make communication from anywhere in the world much easier. But assuredly, not in work hours. ;)

    Wise and fair words indeed.

I can't quite describe how, but somehow a BR Green A3 with deflectors and double chimney looks more "real" than FS has at any point for years, maybe just perception on my part, but seems less of a plastic apple green marketing tool as 4472, and more one of a fleet of A3's propping up the ECML alongside their Gresley and Peppercorn Thoroughbreds, pity it can't be posed with a BR green 60163, 60532 & 60009.

ANOTHER ONE??? You've found another one broken??? What the hell are you doing under there, are you breaking them deliberately?

As for the age thing......Live for the day, and remember this...........every day is a great day (even one where you sat under FS throwing springs up).:)

Reported elsewhere that the Network Rail feeds take some of their input in kph, which doesn't get converted at the back end. RTT just presents what it's given.

I was going to "like" this, because it applies to me, but then I reflected that there's nothing likeable about younger friends dying off. Anyway, enough of this thread drift about mortality.
