    1. Darnholm. A short walk from Goathland station. http://streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?x=48...archp=ids.srf&dn=821&ax=483647&ay=501950&lm=0
    2. Darnholm bridge. Again, a short walk from Goathland station. http://streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?x=48...archp=ids.srf&dn=821&ax=483422&ay=502070&lm=0
    3. Moorgates. A slightly longer walk from Goathland station. http://streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?x=48...archp=ids.srf&dn=821&ax=484464&ay=499540&lm=0

If the footpath is open again there are some good spots on the path that goes up the side of the hill from down in the bottom of beckhole, you can get right to the side of the track all the way along untill you get to the bridge. http://streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?x=48...archp=ids.srf&dn=822&ax=482146&ay=502272&lm=0

Can be very popular with the orange jackets on the other side of the fence though so you might not get a shot without high viz in it.

Are you talking about the path that goes from the river bridge near the Inn?

Yes I think so, the path goes steeply up hill and through the woods along the side of the railway.

For a location at the Pickering end.
How about Kingthorpe to Hunting Bridge?
Wide open to the East side, straight and visible and usually working at max allowable speed.
I realise though that it will not be working flat out though.

I'm not sure the line side section is walkable but I could be wrong. I walked the path last October up as far as the line to take a shot of the train coming under the road bridge and I can't recall the path being in situ to enable further progress. Wasn't looking to go any further though so didn't take a great deal of notice to be honest.

The place is going to be rammed so parking anywhere is likely to be a problem and also as of Wednesday of this

week there were three sets of traffic lights between Saltergate and Eller Beck so expect delays.

Down to one set only today on the descent down to Ellerbeck from Fylingdales. Could catch you out if speeding over the crest into the back of the queue.

I have never seen before the amount of cars parked roadside between the A169 and Moorgates.
Goathland village carparks both stuffed and an additional carpark opened at the village hall.
Beck Hole road also full and from the look of it the area around Darnholm bridge full of vehicles.

No. They were just testing the new "stealth" mode. Seems to be working well.

Some of my attempts from Sunday: http://www.blackhatrailwaypictures.co.uk/p906605113

Nice to see many familiar faces out and about. Will give more details and update later. I expect to be there on Wednesday and Thursday...

Got to admit, was really loving 76079 as banker. Looked and sounded stunning....
