And when I were a lad the correct locos did the ECS in and out of Waterloo John!

Wish I'd spent more days at Vauxhall, where I took this photo in 1962.

Trying to stray stay sort of on topic, I think the ECS it was hauling had been an up train from Exeter.

What a pathetic post. Do you troll for a living or is it just a hobby of yours?

Stop! That is a Cornish pasty - look at the crimp. If the contents include carrot, peas or minced beef throw it out the window just to be safe...

May I respectfully request the RTT for the return over GWR metals, Mr Yeti. I hope to see her at Wokingham on the way back, which of course is on SR metals!!

I think you will find the delay was down to one of SW Trains sets of self shunting coaches

RTT very easy to use - you know the departing station and time slot, so just look for an Exeter to Victoria service - there aren't too many of those!

RTT a very useful website to get to grips with.

Experience from elsewhere on Nat Pres suggests option #1 is the correct answer:rolleyes:

Seems like a great day out for all concerned. Only sorry that WSR business at Minehead prevented me popping over to Yeovil or Taunton today to join in the fun. Tornado always popular and welcome here in Somerset.:)

Merely having a different opinion and stating it differently from how you would like does not constitute "trolling"

I am a professional communicator, and have made a modest living at that in the past 20 years.

Experience teaches me that, whatever your audience, and however controversial your message, you will get your point across far more effectively if you communicate politely and attractively, and with the minimum of adjectives...

Oh, and a touch of humour helps, if done appropriately.:)

    Just saying....

I trust all behind Tornado are looking forward to their triumphant return to our capital, trundling through the suburbs and inner London decaying factory backs.:)
