You might want to look at some of the downloads on the UKTrainSim forum for a few bits of extra decent rolling stock, apart from the Riveira in the 50's pack, the routes/loco's on Steam/Dovetail have very little coaches that are not Mk1 - Mk3.

Also Google Matrix Trains and DigitalTraction, the former has a good selection of Pre BR stock, and off the latter I've downloaded the Standard 4 tank (Mk1 non corridor suburbans included), Rebuilt light Bulleid (Maunsell corridors included) and Midland Compound (Midland/LMS stock included), you also get some GWR Clerestories if you have City of Truro from JustTrains.

There's a fair bit of decent steam age stock if you know where to look.
