    Hi,
Seems this will be diesel as far as Newark and 60103 onwards to York. Just had a chap on the local radio complaining that his planned day out with 60103 will now be mostly diesel hauled. He says he has been given a full refund by RTC and the reason for steam coming on so late in the tour has been stated as "NR concerns about trespass." Don't people trespass north of Newark then?

At least RTC give FULL refunds, unlike Steam?(Diesel)Dreams.
You have to like it or lump it & lose out.

It looks as though Network Rail is trying to keep steam (or FS in particular) as far away from the ECML as possible. Given that they are looping it via Gainsborough I wonder if the entry to York will be from Doncaster and then left at Shaftholme Junction for a Ferrybridge/Church Fenton approach.

Makes you wonder if the trips in the South will be affected as some of them will be operating on third rail territory.

The cancelled SD trips on the 25/5 (Victoria to Ely, and Ely to Norwich) are to be replaced with 2 trips round the Surrey Hills according to the latest SR.
