The Public leaflet has on Friday Departures from BL at 09.05/09.55/10.55/11.55/13.03/13.15 (from NF).14.55/15.55/16.55/17.55.
From MD at 09.45/10.47/11.47 (to NF).12.47/13.45/14.47/15.47/16.45/17.45.
Same times on Saturday. Steam is on the 10.55 and 14.55 x BL and 12.47 and 16.45 x MD. Also a extra diesel train MD to WN leaving at 19.30. (Saturday only).
Sunday same times apart from NO 17.55 xBL but does have a extra WN to BL in the morning 08.50 off WN.

There will be extras like goods trains on the WTT when they are out!
As always this info was correct when the leaflet was printed!

I hope this basic info is helpful for people to decide on their plans.

it helps up to a point, We are less then 3 weeks away from it and we still don't know the availability of 1010,the grid thats ment to be coming but might not run trains, the second 66,

I've tried to drum up some trade for the railway but no ones excited by this, either thru lack of interest in the locos,no wtt, the possible lack of 1010.
I can see and I don't want this to be the case the reliance on 1 ,832 and secondly the weather , coning back and biting hard numbers wise,

I mean the whole vistiors thing you need to take a chance like svr and swanage have to reap the rewards, you need to decide between the medium of south devon one vistor to their gala good numbers and svr loads of vistors rammed trains, theres pros and cons to every thing,

one person i've spoken to thinks this is the railway trying to kill the diesel gala off,the press for the event so far hasnt done the railway any favors.

Nothing stopping you from organising a Diesel Event.
If you want things to change you need to be involved.
If you want things to improve then offer your services in a positive way.
The almost constant 'isn't it awful' will not get you the railway very far.

    Nick

What am I doing to make changes?
I am off to BL this morning for Volunteer induction.

People need to appreciate that the volunteers who work on preserved diesels are thin on the ground its not like Br days where a army of fitters could turn round a loco very quickly 1010 really needs a full body and mechinical overhaul but that costs large sums of money and labour some thing that is in short supply i take my hat off to people devote their time and energy into keeping there engines going the rest of society could learn a lot from the preservation movement.

My point being that class 68s are hardly rare in the area (Bridgwater flasks, charters, test trains). <BJ>
