Think said gentleman is architect of his own misfortune along with Alf 'asbestos' Roberts, Peak oil man at the S&D and the Meon Valley bod. They come on here with some grandiose but completely mad proposal and when they get offered usually fairly sound advice they completely ignore it. Once they have ignored it and continued with their plans (and quite often approach local authority planners, rolling stock owners or other groups and causing chaos in the process) the normal pattern is to disappear for a while before coming up with another mad-house scheme.

By not patting them on the head and entertaining their delusions why is that bullying? I'm sure the owners of the 3CIG and the 28xx (and the group who have actually formed to work on it in reality and not behind a keyboard) will attest, the bloke is a menace who wastes a huge amount of time and goodwill. What heaven bid would happen if somebody actually gave him a serious donation via the latest just-giving appeal?? Not everybody is on here and knows the form behind the name.

A lot has to do with the way that forum members respond to the various issues; a lot of it gives the impression of 'mocking the afflicted' rather than responding in an everyday, factual manner (even more so when the subject is raised out of the blue by a bored forumite on a quiet day at work).

In which case, for the known offenders (NB - I mean Reeder, Alf, etc), can their posts be put on moderation so that if they do post, they don't invite further ridicule?

That's getting awfully close to censorship. Far better to let them spout their nonsense and we make our own minds up.

I think in no uncertain terms most people have! I do miss Asbestos Alf and his bizarre drivel though.

I hope he comes back one day with another new scheme...

Edit - he walks among us still! He's online!

I get the impression that Stuart Reeder is winding people up, he writes a couple of words then sits back and waits for the response which always happens .
